Three Centuries of Welcome
Built during the reign of King Charles II, The Blue Boar began life as a coaching inn where horses were changed and travellers rested. Today, James and Laura continue that tradition of hospitality — with rather more comfortable beds and considerably better breakfasts.
The inn retains its original ingle nook fireplace, cosy corners, and the rambling character that three centuries of history bestow. The old stable yard is now a cottage garden where herbs and flowers grow for the kitchen table.
